UCD Arboretum (page 3)

Here are some pictures I took on the Arboretum at the University of California, Davis on April 27, 1997. Click on the picture to receive a larger, higher quality, version. I hope you enjoy them. -- Jim

These pictures were taken on April 27th, 1997, mostly on the west end of the arboretum.
Aren't these purple flowers beautiful?
As are these yellow ones.
A family of ducks. I count 8 babies. Another family I saw the day before had 12.
A large duck (?) from the boat dock.
A closer view.
If you look closely in the lower left part of the picture, you will see a turtle sitting on a stick.
View from the western end of the Arboretum trail.
In the area of the gazebo.
Some lilies in the middle part of the gazebo.
White, purple, yellow and red wildflowers.
Ahhh ...; need I say more?
This was the first time I'd seen these cone-shaped plants. Lots of bees surrounded these.
These purple and white flowers had different shades.
Some deep red flowers.
Wow, striking purple.
