Contract Bridge at Davis
Note: this club has changed form since this page was updated and no longer meets at Borders or Cafe Roma.
Welcome to the home page for the Contract Bridge at Davis club, a derivative of a class taught by Lisa Kow. We are a registered UC Davis organization, but welcome everyone to come play with us, from beginners to experts.
About Bridge
Bridge is a card game that is an offshoot of a British card game, Whist. During the Winter of 1925, American yachtsman Harold S. Vanderbilt experimented with variations of Bridge Whist. His version, known as Contract Bridge, became fashionable in New York and London in 1929.
